There are fifty days to go until the November Presidential Election! Connecticut voters are leaning towards Obama. Currently Obama has a 54.6% lead over McCain’s 33.6% according to pollster.com’s “Trend Estimate” and is “Solidly Obama” according to politico.com’s “Swing Map.” In previous presidential elections Connecticut has voted primarily for the Democrat ticket:
2004- Bush, 43.95; Kerry, 54.31; Nader, 0.82
2000- Bush, 38.44; Gore, 55.91; Nader, 4.42
1996- Clinton, 52.8; Dole, 34.7; Perot, 10; Nader, 1.7
1992- Clinton, 42.2; Bush, 35.8; Perot, 21.6
